Back to Bristol

Having photographed Primal Scream at the Bristol Beacon the previous night, it was going to take a special band or artist to get me back on the road for another trip to Bristol. But when my friends over at MusoMuso asked if I wanted to photograph one the biggest British rock band of the ‘90s, Skunk Anansie, there was only one answer I could give.

The energy levels in the Beacon were set high when the support band So Good took to the stage! Photographing bands with so much energy and stage presence is something I live for when it comes to my live music photography. It becomes a test of skill with the camera as well as something that is exciting.

When Skunk Anansie took to the stage though, things got turned up to 11! The wall of sound was visceral and photographing the lead singer Skin was an absolute joy. It was an action packed 15 minutes, and my shutter finger was in constant use!
